THE “ZONE OF INHIBITION” TEST
A Zone of Inhibition Test is used to measure the ability of antimicrobial solids and textiles to inhibit fungal and bacterial growth. If the antibiotic properties stop or kill the bacteria/fungus, there will be an area around the test sample where no microbial growth will be visable. This is called a zone of inhibition.
